Canon notes: He is taken about a week after the S4 finale. He fell asleep and woke up by the fountain and probably thought he was Vecna'd for two hours.

Age: 19
Arrival Condition: He was mauled by some demobats a week ago. Right now he's still got some wounds healing on his sides but most of it is taken care of and scarred over. He suffers migraines from a few concussions he's gotten over the year and his hearing is perhaps not the best on his left side, but he's Fine.

Personality: Steve Harrington has had a pretty rough time. He was raised rich in a small town and with parental expectations as their only real contribution to his rearing. His father traveled for work his whole childhood and his mother tagged along to make sure he really had to work for it if he wanted to have affairs. This left him with a huge empty house, lots of money, and zero supervision. So, naturally, for the first few years of his teenage life, he was insanely popular. The development most people did on their personalities during this time was put off in lieu of drinking, parties, and sex. If nothing had changed, he probably would have just stagnated in that place until he was thirty. But instead, he met Nancy Wheeler.
Nancy Wheeler was a beautiful girl that Steve fell for completely. Unlike most of his dates, she wasn't popular or 'cool'. She cared about her studies and was sweet. She made Steve soften around his edges and start to distance from his crueler friends. Even after she started leaving him for Jonathan, he cared enough about Nancy to let her go and be happy with someone else. She was the reason he stopped being King Steve at school and instead started to really think about who he was and who he wanted to be. Which, apparently, is a babysitter.
Steve takes the role of babysitter for the kids in their group of friends, but really he is more like a mother to them all. Over and over again he shows himself willing to sacrifice himself for those he cares about. He moves in front of the children to make sure monsters have to go through him first and starts fights he's probably going to lose just so he can defend them. Even with his friends his own age, he is always the one who takes the risks and puts his neck out. He's willing to fall on any sword if it means that other people will be safe and happy. But when it comes to making himself happy? There's a lot less emphasis on anything there.
Steve, historically, is painted as being stupid. He's not smart in the way the kids are, certainly. He barely passed high school and definitely didn't pursue college very hard. But he's not dumb, surprisingly. He's good at understanding people and at leading a group. He has no issue taking charge and making quick decisions that save lives. He's also got more common sense than most other people have, even though that doesn't always help as much as it should. He accepts his spot as the idiot of the group and is able to take the jokes and taunts centering around it. King Steve has long since fallen off his throne but he's fine so long as he has people around him that care about him and that he loves and takes care of in return.
Abilities: Steve is a very good swimmer. He was in the swimming team in school and seems to really like it. He also is athletic and played basketball. But mostly he's gotten very good at fighting monsters. His weapon of choice is his bat with nails in the top of it. It's either that or his body alone that he uses to beat the shit out of people. Not that he has a long history of winning those fights, mind. But he does his best..
